happy birthday grandma judy!!!

plum crazy

We have two beautiful plum trees in our backyard...   we've lost count of how many plums Orson has eaten...  he just can't get enough!

hot days

On a hot day like today, Orson wears as little clothing as possible.  Today he is running around in a diaper and shoes.We have been loving the sprinkler, but Orson's latest favorite thing to do is picking up dirt and grass and then rubbing it onto whatever I'm wearing...  here's a little video (sorry, I still haven't figured out how to turn the video right-side up :)

weekend fun

Orson & I watched Daddio play the mainstage at the market on Saturday afternoon.  We also hung out with Leah...We ended the day with Orson wildly running through the fountain.  He was soaked and tired and happy. 

first guest!

We had our first house guest when Uncle Kent stopped by for a few days while on his cross-country drive.Orson gave Kent a big "thumbs up" when he trimmed our rasberries and holly trees...
Orson loved "borrowing" Uncle Kent's baseball hat...Thanks for the great visit Kent, you were a huge help...  travel safely!

yard fun!

I know I said next I'd post pictures of the inside of the house, but it was hot today and the fun was happening outside!  Unpacking in this heat is tiring but cooling off with the sprinkler rejuvenated us...We took turns running through the sprinkler...Hooray for yards in the summertime...

we're home...

We have moved into our new house... boxes are being unpacked and it's starting to look like our home...  We are exhausted and happy...The yard is great... a half acre with flowers and trees galore...  Orson endlessly explores the outside of the house and yard... Orson loves the flowers...  maybe too much.  He tries to pluck petals from the flowers when he thinks I'm not watching..Today was 97 degrees and the trees provided great shade...  Here's Orson taking a walk this evening when it was cooler...Up next, the inside of the house...

still packing...

We are still packing (and packing and packing).  Only a few more days 'til the big move!  Thank you Leah for tearing through the kitchen today and also entertaining Orson!
