When we work at the store, Orson likes to unpack his bag of toys. The ones at the bottom are the most fun to get out.

We have been very busy playing with all the toys that arrived this week from the farm. Many thanks to Grandma & Grandpa Rogers for sending us the packages of fun!

first steps!

Our little Orson is growing up so fast. The other night he shocked us by taking his first steps! He still has a lot of practicing to do but he's on his way...

more toys!

Orson is enjoying his new toys...
He is quickly mastering the toys that Grandma Sarah got him...

Orson got a surprise gift from Micah the other day... a cute little puppy that Orson loves to carry around.
The toys from the farm are supposed to arrive today... Orson is a lucky boy to be so well loved!

toys!

Hooray! Grandma Sarah's package of Christmas toys has arrived! I'm trying to reintroduce Orson to them slowly... there's a lot of great gifts. Orson had a blast while playing with one of the toys from Aunt Marty & Aunt Tristan.

Happy Birthday Grandma!
I love the above picture of Great-Uncle David, Great-Aunt Martha, and Grandma on Halloween.

Here's Grandma and Aunt Marty... so sweet!

And here's Grandma and a very new Orson.

We love you!

basket case

Orson insisted on sitting in one of his toy baskets today... I think he's excited for the arrival of Christmas toys from the Grandmas.

post-holiday cheer

Naomi, Yeder, & Micah hosted a post-holiday party the other night. We all brought goodies to eat & drink while we caught up on the latest news.
photos by Naomi
Micah & Ayla had fun causing trouble together!

All the kiddos sat nicely together for a group photo (although Orson was a bit obsessed with Ayla's beautiful dress!)

Auntie Leah entertained Orson with a forbidden toy... a balloon!

lake holiday

Byron, Orson & I left the farm a day late, missing most of the relatives that had gathered the night before. Sigh. We will definitely see you all on our next visit. Being sick over the holidays was terrible. Thank you Grandmas for taking such good care of us...

Here we are gathered to do another round of opening presents! We didn't have 12 days of Christmas... but it was close!

I had a fever of 102 degrees... I'm not sure what Uncle Todd's excuse was...

Orson got to open tons of gifts... so many new toys to master!

Aunt Kristin played all day with Orson... and she didn't laugh at his runny nose or snot bubbles.

Grandma Sarah showed Orson how to have fun with his new toys...

We even managed to squeeze in a visit with Aunties Martha & Tristan...

*I didn't get to take as many pictures as I normally would... please send me copies!

presents on the farm

Opening presents was a fun new experience for Orson. Tearing wrapping paper seems to be a natural skill...

Isn't this little wooden train adorable? Thank you Ralph & Patsy!

One of the many gifts Orson received from Grandma Judy was Daddy's doll named "Joey." Apparently, Joey was so well-loved that he had to be sent to the doll hospital to be put back together.
Uncle Kent got Byron & Orson matching Colts jerseys... the boys looked too cute!

Orson became infatuated with cousin Jack. They opened many gifts together and Jack showed Orson how to play with his new toys.

holiday pictures

Here are the first of the pictures from our holiday visit. We had a great time in spite of being quite sick.

Orson enjoyed seeing snow for the first time!
We stopped by to see Orson's Great-Uncle Terry...

Here's Orson, Byron, cousin Chrissy and all her kiddos.

After visiting Uncle Terry we headed to the farm. Grandma Judy found Daddy's toys from years past. Orson learned quickly how to ride the horsey.
My favorite toy was the giraffe...
We also got to play with neighbor Patsy's gift from Grandma... a tiny puppy!

Orson took a nice nap in Grandma's arms while Mommy & Daddy tried to recuperate from the flu...

Up next... presents!!!
