Thursday night we headed over to see Maggie, Jonah, Ann, & Ayla... and along with the Campos family we celebrated birthdays (ann, orson, &  micah), engagements (congrats maggie & jonah!) and the latest additions to Maggie's Farm...  baby chicks!

Today was sunny so we spent as much time outside as possible...

This included 2 long walks, 3 park trips, endless yard exploration, and 1 attempt to go grocery shopping but ending with Orson & I eating french fries at a diner (and going home without groceries).

When the big moment of singing "happy birthday" came, Orson made sure the scene was set just right... He went straight for his party hat and knew just what to do.

For the past few weeks Orson has been practicing for his birthday.  Sometimes it involves a "hat" (in the picture his hat is actually a bucket) but it always includes us singing to him and then Orson blows out the "candles."  We can't wait for the real event, just a few days away!
