Orson, Daddio, & I went to a party to wish Lauren 

good luck as she sets off to earn her PhD.

We all had a great time,

but Orson had a fantastic time!

Orson, Cousin Ryan & I ventured 

 downtown to the farmer's market...

 We enjoyed spending time with Ryan...

Orson got to do a little crafting...

(he made a zucchini airplane)

And then we watched a musical puppet show!

After the show we headed to the yummy food booths...

Orson & I decided to check out
 the Hawthorne Street Fair.
We enjoyed wandering through the crowds,
checking out the artisan and food booths...

We found the kid area,
and the funny magician
had Orson instantly laughing...
 

There were bubbles...
 

and hula hoops...
 

And costumes...


And puppets...
 

And dancing...
 

There were many kids, but not a lot of dancers.
The boy in the red shirt loved to boogie.
(maybe even more than orson)
 

It was a great summer day!

We were so excited to have Uncle John & Aunt Mag
 over for dinner while they were visiting Oregon.
This was the 1st time Orson met them,
and after they left he said "they're really great!"

The ambulance at the museum needed a patient...
(Orson was moaning "i'm sick"
 and the boys in front started to worry)
 

And Orson found a book to read on the bus...
 

new museum room

The Children's Museum had a new room to explore.
It was all about building...
there were trucks, buckets, blocks, logs
 and Orson loved it so much we went back 3 times.

Orson loved the museum's little grocery store.
He decided to be the checkout clerk.
Orson patiently waited for customers...
 

and he waited...
 

Finally, customers!

The situation got a little hectic...
These kids had a lot of food!

 

Orson was a pro
and even made a little small talk...
"how is your day?"
 

All went well
 until Orson realized he was out of bags
and the kids didn't have any money...
 

back to the museum!

Orson & I went back to the Portland's Childrens Museum.
He decided to be Batman this time.
We had a great day
revisiting favorite activities
and discovering new ones...

to see Mater the tow truck!


Oh no, Orson looked so sad
when Mater was no where to be found...
